Armenia is a small country situated in the Caucasus. It is a mountainous country having an average altitude of 1700m above sea level with its highest point (Mt. Aragats) being at 4090m. Besides having an average high altitude and having lots of mountains, Armenia is also famous for its rocks, canyons and lots of stones. During your visit in Armenia it is impossible not to notice the numerous stones that are scattered everywhere. Thus, it is no wonder why this country is called "Land of Stones". The Armenians even have a very suitable saying for its landscapes, namely "Hayastan, Qarastan", which means "Armenia, land of stones".

As this is the first blog post of our new and fresh website, we would like to start by the famous phrase "Hello World". We introduce ourselves with a new name 'Ravina' and offer our tour products and insights of this magnificent country on our newly made website. Although the cover might be new, we as tour operators have managed to work for years in the field of tourism and have gained a good share of knowledge and experience in organizing tours in Armenia. The first time we welcomed our tourists, who were mainly from The Netherlands, was 15 years ago. At that time Armenia didn't have the facilities and infrastructure as it has nowadays. The only option was to tour our guests in a Soviet mini-bus and we managed to arrange their accommodation in various apartments. The tour turned out to be a success as in the following years we again welcomed our tourists from different countries.
